about

Having worked as a nurse for 5 years, I have witnessed first hand the importance of a healthy lifestyle. This, coupled with my love of sports has fuelled a passion to pass on this knowledge.

In today's world of fast food, cars, long working hours and family commitments it is increasingly difficult to lead a healthy lifestyle. As a fitness consultant I can show you how to achieve your goals you always wanted but thought you didn’t have the time for by focusing on diet and exercise and incorporating them  into your busy lifestyle.

“Having worked as a doctor in various hospitals across the country and in Australia, I recognise the ever increasing importance of lifestyle and its effects on health.

As obesity is more prevalent and we lead a more sedentary lifestyle, the number of people suffering with illnesses such as high blood pressure and type II diabetes is increasing. Study after study has shown that by making changes to our diet and increasing our exercise, we can have a huge impact on our health. Did you know that people who exercise on a regular basis are less likely to suffer from depression than those who don’t? And that obesity is linked with an increased risk of certain cancers including bowel cancer? (One of the leading causes of cancer deaths in Britain)

Regular exercise can improve mood, reduce weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels. This, coupled with dietary changes can reduce the risk of a number of diseases including heart attacks and strokes.

As a GP, I know that prevention is better than cure and therefore, am on-hand for advice and support.”
